Dr. Georgiadou Zoe

Professor of Interior Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture, Faculty of Applied Arts and Culture, University of West Attica.

Born in Athens. Studies: PhD in Architecture and Sociology of Spaces, National Technical University of Athens (2001), Architect Engineer (1986) National Technical University of Athens and Interior Designer (1980) Technological Educational Institute of Athens.

She teaches Interior Architecture and Sociology of spaces at the Department of Interior Architecture since 1981.

Research interests: architecture and design theory, focused on the syntactic spatial characteristics and interdisciplinary approaches concerning the architectural space.  

She is elected academic director (2015, 2019) of the laboratory of Design, Interior Architecture and Audiovisual Documentation of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Culture, University of West Attica. She is chief editor of the peer reviewed international e-journal Arts| Design| Culture published by the laboratory of Design, Interior Architecture and Audiovisual Documentation, University of West Attica, in co-operation with the Universities Escuela Superior de Diseño de Madrid (Spain), University of Nicosia -School of Humanities and Social Sciences (Cyprus), Escuela Superior des Artes e Design de Matosin Porto (Portugal), Universitatea Nationala de Arte Bucuresti (Romania) and Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Poland).

She is the author of four books, and several journal and conference articles. She has given invited lectures at Universities, and is active member of social co-operations.

She has been elected Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Culture for the period 2010-2014.
