Katerina Kokkinaki holds a PhD in the field of “Space and visual arts” and her doctoral thesis is entitled “The visual experiential perception of children through contemporary culture and the aesthetics of everyday life. Cultivating design in the context of participatory and sustainable design in the interactive and playful environment of a community, for a holistic approach to development” (2024, Interior Architecture, University of West Attica, Athens, Greece) under the supervision of Dr. Zoe Georgiadou.
She holds a Master’s degree (MCs) and a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Visual and Applied Arts (2009, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a degree from the Department of Decorative Arts, School of Graphic Arts and Artistic Studies (2000, Technological Educational Institute of Athens). She has taught for 4 years in higher education and 15 years in primary and secondary education, in Experimental Schools, Art Schools and the School of European Education.
She is a research associate of the Institute of Education and Culture (IEP) and has implemented pilot projects, innovative school activities and European projects, has presented and coordinated experiential workshops on educational issues at conferences, and her research work has been presented in local and international scientific journals and conferences (https://uniwa.academia.edu/CatyKatis).
