Psilopoulos Angelos

Born in Athens, on March 16, 1973.
Studied Architecture at the School of Architecture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), moving on to the National Technical University in Athens (NTUA) to pursue his Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies (State Scholarship Foundation, 2003 – 2007).

Working as a freelance architect since 1998. Since 2003 he has been teaching consecutively at the Department of Interior Architecture, Decorative Arts, and Design, at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (TEI) – now Department of Interior Architecture, University of West Attica –, while becoming full tenure member of the Faculty in 2014 at the position of Lecturer. Amongst several positions in various committees, he served as the Department’s Academic Coordinator for the Erasmus+ program between 2014 and 2018.

He’s been distinguished with prizes awarded by international committees as much as for his work as an architect as for his academic research, while at the same time he’s participated in a number of international academic conferences equally as a presenter as well as a member of the scientific committee. Since 2014 he is a contributing writer and a member of the Editorial Board for C3 Magazine, Korea.

He is a principle founding member of the “Design, Interior Architecture and Audiovisual Documentation” Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Culture in the University of West Attica.

His research interests include Architectural Theory and Criticism, Design Creativity and Educational Methods in Design, the hybrid co-existence of the Digital (virtual) and the Physical (actual) space, and the Historic and/or Anonymous Vernacular Construction Technologies and Techniques.
